Pet Stain Removal Service
We all wish our pets loved clean carpets as much as we do, but sometimes our furry friends can’t help it.
Fortunately, CCS is here for you and your pet stain and odor issues!
Pet Stain & Odor Removal
CCS Floor Care Specialists can help you with pet stain and odor removal so that your carpets and upholstery look great and smell fresh again. We use our cleaning process, along with additional treatments to pull the urine out of your carpets, not push the urine through the backing of the carpet and further into the padding, which is what can occur when treating with just typical steam cleaner Our treatment will eliminate 99.9% of the bacteria and germs, and enzymes in our solution help to break down the urine, eliminating the pet stains and odor.
Why Your At-Home Cleaners Won’t Work.
Pet Stains & Odors Are so Stubborn
For effective results, professional attention is needed to treat urine, feces, vomit, or other organic pet stains. At-home carpet cleaning machines and over the counter cleaners do not have the strength or complexity required to completely treat and sanitize the contaminated areas. As a matter of fact, these DIY solutions can actually worsen the stain and odor issues, making the removal process more difficult or nearly impossible!
Your pet’s urine is acidic and the perfect breeding ground for bacteria in your carpet. As the bacteria grows, an unpleasant odor is created. At this time, the urine begins to oxidize and create a color change in the carpet fibers which can be permanent unless removed immediately. Having your carpets cleaned by CCS Floor Care Specialists right away will help to stop color change from occurring and the bacteria from growing.
Often times the pet urine appears to dry and the smell is not as noticeable until either the humidity increases (and isn’t that often the case here in Florida?) or until the carpet is cleaned or dampened. Even if the first cause of odor (bacteria) is treated , the naturally occurring salts and crystals left behind from the dried urine can be “triggered” or activated when coming into contact with moisture. So moisture from cleaning improperly or from the humidity in the air, often causes the unpleasant urine odor to worsen and be released even stronger. In addition to treating with enzymes that kill the odor causing bacteria, we also clean the carpet in a way that removes these urine salts & crystals from the carpet’s fibers.
In severe cases, just cleaning the surface fibers will not remove the source of the odor, which could be urine that has been absorbed by the padding and sub-flooring. In these extreme cases, sub-surface action or padding replacement might be necessary.
Why Timing is Crucial
When dealing with urine stains, timing can be crucial …the naturally present proteins in the urine are attracted to the fibers in your carpet. The urine proteins will bind themselves, along with a yellow pigmentation, to your carpet fibers. The longer the urine is present in the carpet the more attached the proteins become, increasing the risk of permanent discoloration. Our Carpet Cleaning Process is scientifically designed to loosen the urine’s protein bond on the carpet fibers.
Urine damage can be minor to severe and depends on many factors.
Some of the many factors that could affect the level of urine damage are the pets diet, medications, size of pet, frequency of problem, type of pet (cat urine is typically more difficult than dog urine), UTI infections, the type of carpet, type of sub flooring (wood or concrete), etc. Most of the time we are capable of removing stains and odors with our regular cleaning methods and enzymatic surface treatments.
We are happy to discuss your pet stain and odor problems, and will try to provide the most effective treatment possible. Be aware that no company can guarantee the removal of pet stains and odors, and if they do, be very wary. We are very proud of our high success rate of removing pet stains and odors, and are confident that if anyone can help, it will be us! We find that even in cases where 100% removal isn’t possible, that we dramatically decrease the negative effects of the pet odors & stains!
The Problem Could be More Than Carpet Deep.
Sub-Surface extraction allows the urine, or odor source, to be easily lifted from the padding
